1. Prep The Wall
Paint the wall whatsoever color yous want to take as your background. I stuck with a well-baked white so the colorful vinyl would actually pop.
2. Select Your Design
Next, select a design for your temporary wallpaper. I downloaded the Baby Elephant (Pattern #109231) from the Silhouette Studio for 99¢. And then used my Silhouette's design software to set up my pattern for cutting, squeezing every bit many elephants as I could fit. Then I but cut them out with my Silhouette machine and, voila I had super beautiful wall decals for a small fraction of the price of pretty wallpaper.
3. Employ Vinyl Decals To The Wall
Finally, get-go sticking your vinyl shapes to the wall. To make this project super easy, I chose to identify them randomly rather than try to measure out some sort of blueprint. The overnice part about this temporary wallpaper project is that y'all're working with pocket-size pieces of sticky vinyl rather than huge sheets of wallpaper. The minor decals are very manageable and I was able to peel them off the wall and restick them if I needed. My randomness worked so well that several people have asked me how I managed to arrange them so evenly!
There are just three steps to this project because it's super easy! I've received so many compliments on the adorable elephant "wallpaper" in Chloe's plant nursery and people are always shocked to larn it was a uncomplicated DIY project.
A cutting motorcar is an investment simply I totally retrieve they're worth it. Just i DIY wallpaper projection solitary would salvage you lot enough money to justify ownership one! And I've made so many really absurd crafts, abode decor and gifts with my Silhouette that information technology's become one of my favorite DIY tools.
Here are some other projects I've fabricated with my cut machine:
